Are you attending a concert? Write three solid paragraphs (as a comment) here for your concert critique. Make sure to lable the critique with your full name, title of concert/artist, date of concert, and venue. Use musical teminology and your critical thinking skills to write a balanced review. Feel free to refer to the concert critique rubric for help!
This is also a forum for you to share details on upcoming concerts with Mrs. Hornby. She can post the information under a separate heading and you can blog about the concert with your peers! Remember 2 concert critiques are due by the last day of regular classes each semester.

so wait let me get this straight. one concert has to be a string orchestra but the other one can be something like Wolfmother or AC/DC? Can it be an old concert like something from Aerosmith?
That's right! Only one of your concert critiques each semester has to have traditional string instruments. If you can give a good musical critique of Aerosmith, I would be more than happy to accept your work!
i have a question: we have to do a concert critique on a concert with strings, so does a rock band that has an orchestra count? because a band i listen to [dream theater] has a dvd of one one of their concerts, and they perform with an orchestra. would that count for my "string instruments" critique?
