Each year, 6 students from each high school in Central Wisconsin has the opportunity to participate in the Central Wisconsin Honors Orchestra. The following students were selected for this honor in 2010:

Miranda, sophomore cellist at East
Emily, junior violinist at West
Ryan, junior violist at West
Kaitlyn, senior violinist at East
Katy, sophomore violinist at East
Tyler, senior violist at East
Heidi, senior cellist at West
Krista, junior violist at East
Emma, junior violinist at East
Mark, junior violist at West
Shannon, senior violinist at East
Jonathan, junior violinist at West
Morgan, junior violist at West
Serena, senior violinist at West
They will attend rehearsals and workshops all day, Thursday, February 11th at UWSP with Dr. Miles and the UWSP Orchestra. They will present a concert that evening at 7:30 p.m. in Mills Hall in the Noel Fine Arts Center on the UWSP campus. Tickets for the concert are: $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for students and youth.
DETAILS FOR CWHO PARTICIPANTS:
A yellow school bus will pick up the Wausau East participants at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11th by the Auditorium. The bus will drive the East students to West where Mrs. Hornby and the West students will load the bus. You will need to bring: your instrument and accessories, music, a pencil, your concert uniform (including shoes). A pizza dinner will be provided for you, but you will need to buy your own lunch at a local restaurant during your lunch break. I will come back down to UWSP in the afternoon, but you will be supervised by UWSP staff while I am back in Wausau teaching. You should plan on having your parents drive you home from the concert. If your parents are unavailable, please arrange for a ride with another student's family. Driving waivers will be required of all students. There will be at least 1 hour of time you will be able to work on homework while you are at the festival. Please feel free to bring along your work.
